Materials:
Size F crochet hook
Small amounts of white and black 4 ply worsted weight yarn.
Yarn needle
Small magnet
Fleece-
With white, ch 4. Sl st to in first ch to form a ring. Turn
Rnd 1: ch 1 (counts as first sc) 15 sc in ring. Sl st in first ch (16 sc).
Rnd 2: Ch 2, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, *ch 1, skip 1sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * around. sl st in ch 1 of ch 2 (8-ch 1 spaces).
Rnd 3: Sl st in 1st ch 1 sp, ch 1 (ch 1 counts as 1 sc) 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc in same space, *in next ch 1 space, 1 sc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc-repeat from * around. Sl St to first ch 1 (8 clusters).
Rnd 4: Ch 1, insert hook in between the last cluster made and the 1st cluster (between the 2 sc) yo pull through a loop-2 loops on hook, yo draw pull through the 2 loops (1 loop remaining on hook, this will count as 1 sc), ch 2, *sc between the next cluster. Ch 3 repeat from * around. Sl st in 1st chain of beg. rnd (8-ch 3 spaces).
Rnd 5: Sl st in 1st ch sp, ch 1 (counts as 1 sc), 1 dc, 3 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc in same space, * in next ch sp, 1 sc, 1 dc, 3 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc, repeat from * around, end sl st to 1st sc. Fasten off.
Legs-
With black, right side facing, attach yarn to middle tr c of any cluster. Ch 10, in 2nd ch from hook make 5 sc, sl st in remaining 8 chs. Sl st in same space where you attached the yarn. Fasten off.
Repeat the second leg, in the corresponding cluster, as the first leg.
Face-
With black, ch 7, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in next 4 chs, 3 sc in last ch. DO NOT TURN WORK. CONTINUE WORKING IN BOTTOM OF CH, 4 sc in each ch. Ch 1 turn, dec in 1st 2 sc, dec in last 2 sc (2 sc), ch 1 turn, sl st in each 2 sc. Fasten off.
Sew face to middle of the fleece. Add eyes. To the back, sew or glue magnet.

ha ha ha or should i say ‘baa baa baa’ cute ! in my home ‘shaun the sheep’ is a funny character so this will add to the fun. i am going to crochet one and place on the frig to see who notices. a few years ago i crocheted a ‘shaun the sheep’ for one of my children. the question was Christmas morning as he was lounging under the tree who he belonged to. shaun sits honorably on our guest room bed since his owner is at college.
