Cheesy Garlic Croutons
4 cups of day old bread cut into 1-inch cubes (use a hearty bread such as an Italian bread, french Bread, Europeon Peasant Bread, etc).
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (more or less according to how much of a garlic flavor you want)
Good grinding of black pepper
1/4 cup grated parmesano-reggiano cheese.
Place all ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix with hands. Place onto a cookie sheet and toast in a 325°F oven until lightly toasted on all side for about 12-15 minutes. Half way through cooking time, turn the croutons so that all side will brown and return back to the oven to continue cooking or until lightly toasted on all sides.
