Pizza Sauce
Pizza Sauce
- 1 28 oz can tomato puree
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano or basil leaves (or a combination of the two)
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Add all the ingredients to a microwave safe bowl, mix all these ingredients together (if it looks to thick, then add a little more water).
Cooked the sauce in the microwave, on half power, for about 10 minutes just to get the flavors commingled.
Cool the pizza sauce, cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours before using. Overnight would be better as the flavors will blend together better.
Give this sauce a good stir before using.
