On being aloof

…so I said, “What now?”  And got the same look from him as I do from my cat.

Imagine being in your 50’s and not knowing where to go in life hoping for the basics. Imagine that! I don’t know how to react. I have tried crying, yelling, cajoling, comforting, understanding, pleading…and got the same look from him as I do from my cat.

…so I said, to myself, “I hate my life!

  1. Hi Liz, I am so sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time. I wonder if Tom is so baffled too so he just doesn’t know what to say. That is especially hard on men and they often back away when that happens.

    Big Hugs to you!

  3. Oh dear Liz;

    We all have times when we feel like our lives aren’t worth a dime but if you take one day at a time and remember all the talents you have and I know you have many, i.e. cooking, knitting, etc.. and you think of your family and times spent with grandchildren. That day will pass with a positive and tomorrow will start that way too. “Count your blessings not your complaints.” as the saying goes. I say this as a friend who cares and has been there. You are in my prayers my friend. ~Hugs~

  4. No way! You do not hate your life. You love your grandchildren and a lot of more but…

    I understand that nothing is easy at the time.
    You need to talk, you need to stay together and you need to go the same way, you and Tom.

    The problems don’t not disappear if you hide them under a carpet, they just grow even bigger.
    We have a sosial service that can help if someone get trubble, it is not easy to go, but for me it was the help to make all better.

    Take care and dressage the cat!

    Hugs
