It was a Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas and Christmas Eve in spite of me having bronchitis. I am on antibiotics and two other medications for the congestion, cough, etc. I received a lot of nice things-gift certificates from Brian to Barnes & Noble and Starbucks, certificate for a hair style and dye, books (“Tuesdays with Morrie” and the complete novels of Charlotte and Emily Bronte), pajamas, bath and body works, a jump drive, espresso cups, etc…a desk calendar with crochet patterns for each day.

There is so much more to write about, but I won’t bore you all with the details. I missed more than a few days here. I was so busy with cooking a prepping and not feeling well that after Christmas I finally settled down. This bronchitis, I have, is driving me crazy. At times I can hardly breath. I finally went to the doctor’s this past Wednesday. The clinic was closed and so was my doctor’s. I had to wait until after Christmas to get medical attention. They gave me a chest x-ray that proved to be bronchitis. I had bronchitis eight months ago and I can’t believe that I have it again. Brian had to go back to the doctor’s yesterday to get more medication. He has had a continous cough with congestion. It seems we are passing this illness back and forth to each other.

Oh, before I sign off, Carrie bought this lemon for me. It is called a Ponderosa lemon. Look at the size of it compared to a regular lemon.

  1. Dear Liz

Well done Christmas for you and yours. Sounds like you have a great time despite of your bronchitis.
Hope you soon will feel better.
You have a nice family and most of all, they have you!!!!

I once had a calendar like that with cross stitch pattern. I just enjoy the nice pictures 😉

Hugs for the rest of the year (2007)

  3. Hi Sis, Wow did you ever have a nice Christmas! I’m so sorry though that you didn’t feel well and am sure that put a bit of a downer on it. Like you I’m glad it’s over for another year. I sure hope 2008 doesn’t pass as quickly and that it becomes a better year all around. I just don’t know how much longer I can take waiting to get approved for the disability when I know I should get it. I try not to worry, but I just can’t seem to get away from it. I’m just so glad I have the prayer shawls to make and some good books to read. Still though being home all the time does get me down. Love you! I’m so glad Santa was good to you this year. Love and ~hugs~
