Reliving The Past

I went to the doctor’s today. I have another case of bronchitis. I haven’t felt well in over a week. I am on antibiotics and combivent (an inhaler). Now, I am all congested and it is driving me mad.

Below are some pictures I took before Tom left to come back to Georgia. I did get my fried clams and fried scallops at the Dinner Horn Restaurant. That restaurant was one of the restaurants that Tom and I took Carrie to when she was a little. It brought back so many memories. It was delicious. Brian ordered a pizza from the other part of the restaurant-The Bratskeller. Brian did have fried clams the day before when he and Tom had a “Guy Day”. Brian loved them also. He told me that he was going to miss not having fried clams. Tom and I also ordered Ward 8’s. They are made with whiskey, whiskey sour and grenadine. We used to ordered these drinks every time we ate seafood. They are delicious.

The larger picture of Tom and Brian was taken at Pierrce Island across the river from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.  That is where Tom and I worked before we moved here to Georgia.

We had a wonderful day that day.

  1. Hi Liz: Oh, Portsmouth looks so familiar. I never heard of ward 8’s but they sound delicious. I’m allergic to clams, but boy can I do lobster! Have a great day. I’ m so glad you’re back with us. HUGS
