I made snickerdoodles today. These cookies remind me of the holidays.   They can be made soft or crispy.  My family prefers cookies to be soft.  These came out soft and light.


I was reading that the modern recipe calls for baking powder but I used cream of tartar and baking soda. 

the use of cinnamon, which is balanced with cream of tartar gives the cookies their sweet, savory flavor.

I don’t understand all that.  No matter how they get its flavor, they are delicious.
