The Ugly Pie

Aah, where are the peak?

I made a lemon meringue pie today. After putting the meringue on top and baking it, I realized I should have put peaks on top of the meringue. It would have made for a better presentation.

After beating the egg whites until soft peaks formed,  I added about ¼ cup of marshmallow creme and beat that into the meringue.

With peaks or without peaks, it still tasted good.

  1. Ciao Liz! Hope you are having a lovely week. Hubby is very busy with work and needs our laptop, so I’m mostly off-line. We are having a wee giveaway, if you wanna have a look 🙂 Take care, hugs & good night.

  2. Hi Liz, I would eat it without the meringue, I don’t really care for that part anyway but it’s sweet so I would eat it either way. I love lemon things. Looks delicious! Hope it was good. Have a great weekend. big hugs

  3. Ciao Liz! It’s Friday already, how did that happen? I guess the end of the week comes quickly when you’re busy. I love your labor Day pics, all so sweet, thanks for sharing. You still have a pretty nice sunny weather, I’m envious, hehe! Are the bronchial problems gone, finally? Hope so. Your drawing is really nice, frame it and enjoy looking at it every day 🙂 Why do you say it’s an ugly pie? It seems pretty nice to me! 😀 I’ve never tried marshmallow crème while in the US, but I have always been curious about how to use it, LOL! Now I know!
Hubby needed/needs our laptop for work, so this is a quick hello to wish you a very happy weekend ahead. Hugs!!

  4. Hi Liz: Peaks or no, that’s one fine looking pie! I love a good lemon meringue pie. We’re not supposed to have them, so I rarely make one. I did make zucchini bread the other day. My friend is borderline diabetic, so I guard it! LOL

Have a great day today. HUGS
