Crochet Child’s Poncho

Using my imagination and left-over yarn, I crocheted this poncho for my far-away, granddaughter.

I haven’t seen her in over two years.

I am but a stranger to her now.

She was two years old the last I saw her.

This year she turns five.

Life is so short and the days zoom by.

I guess most wonder when.

    1. Yes, it has been a while. The move back to New England didn’t work out for us. I guess I am destined to be here in the South. 🙂 I am happy that you found me…it has been too long.

  1. My s-i-l crocheted a poncho for my daughter in1970 in wool, pale green and white. Recently we brought some boxes from storage and the poncho was in one of the boxes, so pretty, so tiny. Of course my daughter has 2 small boys (5/3) and the 3 yr old proceeded to put the poncho on his head like a lamp shade, we laughed. I do have a picture of her wearing the poncho and in between I sent the poncho to a friend for her daughters and was surprised when she returned it.
